Bug

Bug is a small audio recorder that lives in the Mac’s menu bar. I built it for recording audio playing on the computer without setting up a project in an editing application. It can include the microphone too, and recordings go into a local library where I can listen back, rename them, and export a WAV or MP3.

The trimming tools are built into the same panel. A quick Trim removes silence from the beginning and end, or I can use the waveform to choose exactly what to keep. The original recording stays intact, so I can undo a trim later, even after closing the app. Everything stays on the Mac, with no account or upload required.
